The Director of Architectural Systems will generate revenue by educating owners, designers, engineers, and contractors while qualifying potential projects.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Instills confidence in the marketplace, standing behind its value proposition of quality, service, technology, design assist and financial capabilities.
- Initiates the sales process by scheduling appointments and making presentations; and understanding and influencing design requirements.
- Works closely with plant operations staff and attends weekly meetings at plant when available.
- Market our building enclosure systems capabilities along with total precast.
- Expand sales in the design community by introducing new products; developing new applications and promoting design-assist.
- Close sales by collaborating closely with the estimating staff during the estimating and bidding process with potential accounts.
- Provide engineering support and training to estimating and other sales staff on structural precast projects.
- Actively pursues all opportunities within the region.
- Network by participating in construction-oriented educational opportunities and PCI regional organizations.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and presentation skills.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, training, and education.
- Precast/sales experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Precast/sales experience preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability successfully engage all levels of customer base.
- Action-oriented. Acts with a sense of urgency, and with the end-result in mind. Prioritizes workload and uses time effectively.
- High sales aptitude, self-motivated. Proven sales skills, abilities, and effective closing techniques.
- Familiar with PCI and ACI design requirements to be able to converse effectively with designers, estimators, and project leadership.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences.
- Overnight travel may be required.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Possession of a valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
- Travel to meet with clients or potential clients is required.
- Must be able to lift up to 15lbs at times.
Additional Information:
- Minimal risk of exposure to unusual elements.
- Minimal risk of safety precautions.
- Must be able to wear PPE in production facility and/or at jobsites. Hard hat, safety glasses, work boots, hearing protection and vest.
