Responsible for supervising employees during the material management process of precast products while following standard work methods and practicing safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible while diagnosing and solving problems and identifying areas for continuous improvement.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee employees and carryout supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
  • Organizes, supervises, leads, and ensures employees are trained to complete projects within established guidelines and timeframe.
  • Manage yard and inventory to ensure a safe and clean atmosphere maintaining 5S standards.
  • Manage shipping schedule while working with Production Planner to ensure goals are met.
  • Ensure orders and overages are met according to sales order and line items.
  • Ensure and check production reports according to actual order acknowledgements, ensuring quality standards are met and exceeded.
  • Schedule employee work hours and vacations.
  • High level working knowledge of all material management from shipping, receiving, and yard organization.
  • Ensure all materials are visually checked to maintain high quality standards.
  • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
  • Enforce all company safety, quality and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Interacts extensively with management to report status, address challenges, and resolve project discrepancies.
  • Identifies and captures continuous improvement opportunities in relevant areas.
  • Control workflow to ensure the effective use of resources (labor, tools, equipment) and maximum use of available capacity.
  • Maintains shipping schedules and coordinates with logistics, both internal and external.
  • Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure maintenance issues are recognized and addressed.
  • Perform root cause analysis using tools such as five why method and communicate findings with impacted employees.

Education / Experience / Certifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Three years of supervisory experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Ability to gather, analyze and interpret data to make adjustment in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams, both internally and externally.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Experience in SAP / ERP a plus.
  • Experience with inventory management.
  • Ability to diagnose and solve problems.
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and inventory control is a plus

The Plant Manager directs and coordinates the operation of a precast manufacturing facility to meet the company's goals and objectives.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and direct ongoing production requirements including assignment of personnel, material, and equipment to provide efficient operations, meet quality standards, delivery schedules, and budget requirements.
  • Establish performance standards, measure results, analyze workflow and troubleshoot problems.
  • Responsible for all plant personnel issues including, but not limited to, hiring, training, and disciplining. Administer Company rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Implement the Corporate safety program, including compliance with all OSHA and other governmental and company safety requirements. Ensure department participation in monthly safety meetings. Prepare accident investigation reports and monthly plant inspection reports.
  • Manage business to meet profitability targets, quality and safety standards, and schedule commitments. Plan, create, and implement continual improvement programs which give the organization a competitive advantage.
  • Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus to staff.
  • Monitor operations and initiate corrective actions, and ensure follow-up is conducted.
  • Collect and analyze operational data to identify areas of continual improvement. Develop systems and processes to track and optimize productivity, standards, metrics, and performance targets.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of Production Lead, Quality Lead, and Laborers to meet Company goals and objectives.
  • Assist the Business Development Department with project scope reviews and plant-related item estimation. Review production schedules to ensure the Production & Quality Departments are aware of the scope of work & requirements on each project.
  • Review monthly financial reports and discuss with VP of Operations any unusual or significant variances.
  • Attend monthly business reviews to review updates on the Plant goals and objectives.
  • Participate in annual business planning activities.

Education / Experience / Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Five (5) years of experience in precast production processes, with production management required
  • General computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office
  • Legal capacity to drive a company vehicle required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Ability to read and update blueprints; Knowledge of all plant operation tooling and machinery, scheduling, and all standard software for precast plant operations.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • PCI Level 1, 2, or 3

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Physically able to lift to 75 lbs., occasionally
  • Physically able to push, pull, lift, bend, climb, kneel, twist, squat, crawl and use hands/forearms repetitively and frequently
  • Ability to move around for up to 12 hours per day
  • Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts at various heights frequently
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
