Architectural Precast Innovations, Inc. is looking for a leader with a proven history of production management experience to oversee and direct our daily production. The primary role of this position is to manage the daily production of our precast operations. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide direction for all manufacturing operations.
  • Provide direction to each department at the start of each shift. Ensure ALL departments hold daily task meetings (10 Minutes) to review the days expected work, issues and changes from the previous day’s work, etc. – Keep all communications open.
  • Ensure compliance of manufacturing employees, making sure employees are adhering to all quality standards, procedures and policies to meet quality standards established by the company as well as all safety procedures and policies.
  • Is involved with the hiring, training, terminating and layoff processes, etc. to maintain sufficient labor needs in comparison to bid estimates and the scheduled workload.
  • Oversees all personnel time off, vacation time etc. to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Participates in work injury/accident reporting, filing and investigations. (Working with HR/Safety manager)
  • Is responsible for carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws. Including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Directs, administers and coordinates the activities of the plant in support of policies, goals, objectives and directives of the President, for the purpose of optimizing the quality of products and service while maximizing profitability, safety and employee engagement.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Guides and supports managers in the development, production, marketing and sale of company’s products.
  • Develops and implements procedures and processes that promote communication and effective flow of information.
  • Directs the preparation of short term and long-range plans and budgets that reflect the goals and growth objectives of the President.
  • Meets weekly with the Operations, Sales, and Plant Managers to review and facilitate their progress toward established goals. 
  • Work’s in partnership with direct reports and the Vice President and/or President to ensure that the activities and operations of the company are carried out with local, state and Federal regulations and laws governing business operations.
  • Empowers the managers to ensure that the company’s operations are carried out in accordance with the most current PCI requirements for certification.
  • Meets regularly with Plant Safety Coordinator to develop and maintain an effective program of risk management, ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees.
  • Conducts performance appraisals of the Operations, Sales, and Plant Managers and makes recommendations to the President regarding salary adjustments for these individuals.  Reviews performance appraisals performed by the Operations, Sales and Plant Managers and approves all pay adjustments.
  • Represents the company in industry, manufacturing or trade associations.  
  • Works with the President, the Operations Manager, Sales Manager and Plant Manager to develop, implement, and sustain a coordinated and cost-effective approach for utilizing up-to-date information technology appropriately throughout the company. 
  • Serves as a role model for employees with regard to attendance, timeliness, loyalty, mutual respect and support for organizational teamwork, continuous improvement and safety.
  • Establishes and maintains an environment of organizational teamwork that is customer and employee focused.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of managing a Precast Concrete Facility
  • 5-10 years of related senior management experience in a medium - large (minimum 50+ employees) manufacturing, production, or distribution of infrastructure, building or contracting materials environment.
