Deliver maintenance and repair services on equipment and provide troubleshooting and upgrades.

Installation and commissioning of new Elematic equipment and solutions delivered to customers.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Installation supervision of Elematic technology.
  • Providing operator and maintenance training to customers.
  • Provide and develop expertise of Elematic equipment and solutions.
  • Independent execution of tasks and duties within service, defined by superior.
  • Follow all work safety instructions, laws and regulations, promote safety culture by own example.
  • Provide high-quality customer and technical support.
  • Follow given timelines, instructions and budgets, while prioritizing own work tasks.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and development ideas, and record them to company's initiative system.
  • Identify repair and maintenance needs at customer sites and provide sales leads to spare part and service teams.
  • Work closely with customer organizations, subcontractors and internal departments.
  • Maintain and develop own know-how and expertise and working processes to improve quality of work.
  • Documentation and reporting of findings from customer calls and visits.
  • Creating service quotations to customers.
  • Communication with customers related to assignments, progress of work, travel, arrangements, preparations etc. and participation in worksite meetings.
  • Inspection of goods delivered to site prior to installations, communication to customer/internal project manager about possible deficiencies.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (in electrical, mechanical or automation engineering) or similar technical education.
  • 5 years of working experience in similar roles. (Troubleshooting, field technician etc.)
  • Experience in similar positions that required excellent problem solving skills.
  • Experience in working in multicultural environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Readiness to travel as needed (75-125 days/year).
  • Solid technical knowledge.
  • Software tools: MS Office, TwinCat, L7, Atom, Vineyard, Orchidea etc.
  • Fluent English skills, fluency in multiple languages is considered as benifit.
  • Knowledge of the precast industry is a major advantage, and the basics of concrete technology.

Alaska Precast Solutions, part of the Remote Alaska Solutions family of operations, is pioneering Alaskan construction with the launch of its cutting-edge Precast Hollowcore Plank Manufacturing Plant in Nikiski. This role will begin in late 2025, after plant operations commence. We are hiring early to find the right candidate and provide ample time for a seamless relocation, if applicable.

We’re seeking an Equipment Maintenance Manager to oversee and maintain the advanced machinery and systems of our prestressed precast concrete production facility. This position ensures the efficient operation of our state-of-the-art equipment while promoting safety and reliability.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on all production equipment, including batching systems, hollowcore machinery, and precast-specific tools.
  • Create and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, making timely repairs to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a detailed log of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment performance.
  • Source and manage replacement parts and maintain an organized inventory system.
  • Train and supervise maintenance staff, promoting adherence to safety and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address equipment needs and resolve operational challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards specific to the precast concrete industry.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED (minimum)
  • Minimum of 3 years in industrial equipment maintenance, with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • 2-5 years of experience in prestressed or precast concrete manufacturing equipment maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Familiarity with Elematic technology or Mixer Systems equipment (preferred).
  • General knowledge of the concrete industry and its operational standards.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with production equipment such as mixers, conveyors, and hollowcore systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong mathematical skills for measuring tolerances, calibrating equipment, and interpreting blueprints or CAD designs.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Pre-employment drug screening and physical exam are required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • PCI or ACI certification (preferred).

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally lift/move heavier objects with assistance.
  • Comfort working in physically demanding environments, including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and noisy environments common to manufacturing facilities.
