We’re seeking an experienced Prestressed Precast Concrete Batch Plant Operator responsible for efficient production at the newly established batching plant. Although this new role will not start until late 2025, the hiring process begins early, with relocation assistance available to the right candidate.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all batching operations, production flow, and equipment configuration.
- Operate batching and mixing equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient production of prestressed precast concrete.
- Manage concrete mix designs to meet specifications and maintain consistent quality.
- Oversee inventory of raw materials, including cement, aggregates, and admixtures.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of batching equipment to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with production teams to meet daily and project-based production goals.
- Monitor and adjust batching processes to adhere to PCI and ACI standards.
- Maintain detailed records of production activities, material usage, and equipment performance.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED (minimum).
- 1–3 years of experience in concrete batching or related industrial operations.
- 2–5 years of experience with both "Dry Batch" and "Wet Batch" systems (preferred).
- Familiarity with batching and mixing equipment; automated systems experience (preferred).
- Basic understanding of concrete mix designs and materials.
- Elematic Technology / Equipment Experience (preferred).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to calculate material proportions and adjust mix designs as needed.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and batching control software.
Licenses & Certifications:
- PCI or ACI Certification (preferred).
- Understanding of workplace safety protocols (OSHA preferred).
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and physical examination.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in an industrial environment.
- Comfortable standing, climbing, and performing tasks in varying weather conditions.
