We have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Control Coordinator at our Prestress Division in Spokane, WA. The Quality Control Coordinator will lead the Spokane Quality Control Team and act as the liaison between outside inspection personnel/agencies and the Spokane Plant. The ideal candidate will ensure that project specifications, PCI standards, and Plant Quality Standards are followed, and that the Plant’s PCI and DOT certifications are maintained.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of the Quality Control Team including duty assignments and scheduling of personnel to ensure Quality Control coverage/availability for each day’s scheduled production.
- Manages, directs, and reports to management/engineering all quality control program issues.
- Organizes, files and maintains all quality control documents, programs and manuals.
- Manages and can hold accountable/regulate and train other plant Team Members on Company Quality Control standards and Quality Control processes.
- Manages Quality Lab, equipment, and processes.
- Company liaison to all outside vendors, customers and agencies/inspectors associated with the quality control program.
- Can respond to field quality issues and trouble shoot problems while maintaining customer loyalty and relationships, including jobsite visits and oversight of field repairs.
- Trained and capable of adjusting stress calculations.
- Proactively manage and resolve conflicts within the Quality Control team and with external stakeholders.
- Understands, manages, and can develop conventional and SCC mix designs to meet engineering and production requirements.
- Fully utilizes computer systems to support the quality program.
- Understands, communicates and demonstrates safety policies and practices. Is either an active member of the safety committee or is a safety program owner. Can conduct a morning huddle and present a safety topic in a safety toolbox meeting.

Education / Experience / Certifications:
- Minimum (2) years of construction/construction materials management experience.
- Previous precast and quality experience preferred.
- Holds (or have the ability to get within 3 years) and maintains all appropriate industry certifications which include, but are not limited to the following:
- PCI- Quality Certification Levels I, II, and III
- Applicable local, state, and Department of Transportation certifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- A positive, proactive, professional personality and an approachable team player with superb time-management skills.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Must be able to efficiently and effectively multi-task and prioritize.
- Good math, record keeping and problem-solving ability.
- Engineering and statistics background helpful, but not necessary
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Must be able to lift material samples of 75 lbs. approx. 10 to 15 times per day and on occasion more depending on duties required.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Windows/Office programs, Piece Tracker, Kraft Match Cure, Command Alkon Dispatch, and Stonemont.
- Must be willing to travel or work overtime when needed.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Holds (or have the ability to get within 3 years) and maintains all appropriate industry certifications which include, but are not limited to the following:
- PCI- Quality Certification Levels I, II, and III
- Applicable local, state, and Department of Transportation certifications
