Class Visit to United Concrete Products

The second course in the UMass PCI Foundation Program focuses entirely on precast/prestressed bridge design. An even distribution of 25 undergraduate and graduate students in the class visited United Concrete Products in Wallingford, CT on September 25, 2023. The students met and learned from precast concrete experts, explored a precast, prestressed concrete production facility in action, and viewed a Northeast Extreme Tee (NEXT) Beam in production.
