THiN-Wall is a structural load bearing, precast insulated wall panel building envelope system that features composite action between concrete wythes. The system enables a very energy efficient building with edge-to-edge EPS or XPS insulation without thermal bridges and uses less concrete than traditional structural wall panels. THiN-Wall is a patented process for designing and producing insulated wall panels.

The THiN-Wall system is available only to licensed precast producers. There is no upfront cost to license the system, but licensees are required to purchase Nu-Tie shear connectors that are the embodiment of the system. THiN-Wall panels incorporate a proprietary glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) bar product called the NU-Tie connector which is formed into a special, sinusoidal wave like shape. When used properly, NU-Ties provide superior structural capacity, plus production and energy efficiency.

The acronym THiN corresponds to the initials of three Nebraska corporations: Tadros Assoc., Hughes Brothers, and Nebco, the parent company of PCI Producer Member Concrete Industries, Inc. Our team offers technical advice to THiN-Wall Licensees, Architects, and Engineers as well as continued research and development through several universities.

"We at THiN-Wall are pleased to demonstrate our commitment to the precast prestressed concrete industry though our participation in the Premier Partner Program."
